Mark Levin & Greta V. slash Gloria Allred's case

Meg Whitman, gaining momentum in the CA gubernatorial race...then this...

Until Mark Levin & Greta Van Susteren rip Gloria Allred to pieces.
Good on 'em!

(ML is one of my new heroes!)
ML: "Is she an illegal alien?"
GA: "No...she's an undocumented worker...the Latino community finds that term very offensive..."
[Can't stand the heat? Stay out of the kitchen!]

GVS: 1) Placing client in legal jeopardy. 2) Btw, you're wrong: 'smoking gun' HELPS Meg Whitman 3) Eve of an election: subverting the electoral process for political gain.

Nice try Jerry Brown...I mean, Ms. Allred. Remind me to never pick up with a lawyer who sets me up w/ a spurious law suit, that actually exposes my lawlessness, that'll gain me nothing so that I can be trashed afterward as you go about your squat & grasping merry way...

I have a feeling there's enough 'October' left for this 'surprise' to backfire nicely...(Where can I send $$ to support Meg's campaign?)

(1) They need to deport the Illegal Alien.

(2) Is there a way to send Gloria Allred to Mexico to bask in the warmth and the economic well-being down there?

I saw Greta last night, I have never seen her so furious. Being an attorney herself she exposed exactly how unethical it is to exploit someone like that for political purposes. On a good day all I can say about Alred is that she's a high profile ambulance chaser. On a bad day - I'd need to scrape her off my shoe.

I know, but how do I really feel? I just can't stand opportunists like her.

LL~ So glad to have you here. I've been reading your stuff (as you know), you have a thoughtful blog, sir.

Deported? Absolutely! Will she be? No. Jerry Brown will have her set up in a condo in Santa Monica by the end of the weekend - with body guards. Gloria has probably already returned from Mexico -- she respects housekeepers, you know.

BetteJo~ Greta was in rare form, no? She's usually pretty liberal in tone, but I really believe she cares about the Law. She smells a rat, & it's coming from Gloria's direction...that high profile, high rent, high maintenance ambulance chaser, indeed!

And you can say how you really feel any time you're here!

What L.L. said.

I hate it when liberals want to start lecturing from their lofty level of ignorance.

Brooke said...

I'll third what LL said!

Susannah said...

USA~ And did you hear? When Levin was really going after the issue all Ms. Allred could say was, "I happen to respect housekeepers.."

Wha??

Brooke~ Yes...but I highly doubt it will happen. She'll become BHO's poster child for "hard-working 'undocumented workers' who are just trying to raise-a-family-&-contribute-to-society-and-look-how-we-treat-them-there-must-be-a-path-to-the-democrat-party --- I mean citizenship...

Thanks for stopping by, friends. You're always welcome here!

My wife and I watched Greta too. It was repeated the next day during the 5PM CDT news segment. I'm hearing now that the California BAR is investigating Allred for malfeasance, to whit, client endangerment (placing the client in legal jeopardy) and misrepresentation (not representing the client's best interests). Both have the potential for criminal charges against Allred.

Susannah said...

Crucis~ I did a bit of research to see if an investigation is forthcoming. If not, it should be. High profile & all, I doubt anything will happen. Sad. Very sad...

Crucis said...

It's California. I expect Allred will get off with a hand-slap at worst. If you scan some local CA papers, there's a growing surge of Californians who are getting fed up with the sancuary cities and the tax $$ wastage to pay welfare, et. al., to the illegals.

Susannah,

All the legal stuff is a sideshow. I could give a rat's ass what happens to Gloria Allred. The bottom line is, Whitman is running a campaign to "get tough as nails" on those hiring illegals. Hypocrisy would have been her only "crime" but then she went and lied about the letter from SSA. Even pouring another 100M of her own money won't save her from that boneheadedness. Susannah, you look too young to remember the "nanny Problems" of some of Clinton's AG appointments. Meg should have paid attention.

Trying to blame it on Brown is really lame. Even if it was initiated by Brown, so what. Do you think Whitman would hold back if she had this kind of dirt on Brown? Ever heard of Opposition Research? It's as old as politics and Republicans are the worst practitioners. They make up their research. Look up 'whisper campaign' or 'push polling' if you want to see some real dirty tricks.

Susannah said...

Craig~ "All the legal stuff is a sideshow."
Of course. That's the point. Except, Ms. Allred has 'stepped in it,' big time.

"I could give a rat's ass what happens to Gloria Allred." Yeah, me either. Except she claims such "respect for housekeepers..." blah, blah, blah. Would be nice to see her get just desserts. Won't happen though. Crucis is right.

"The bottom line is, Whitman is running a campaign to 'get tough as nails' on those hiring illegals."
Dude, look. This is a very bright woman. She's not gonna emphasize something in a state-wide (now nationally known) campaign as a signature issue if she knows she has glaring, gross vulnerabilities.

"Hypocrisy would have been her only 'crime' but then she went and lied about the letter from SSA."
No. I don't think so (see above). Her 'crime' was that she got out-snaked, & she didn't see it coming.

Of COURSE it was 'opposition research.' That's the whole point. And it looks really, really ugly on Mr. Brown & Ms. Allred (esp. since she broke rules of prof. 'ethics' against her own client in the process). Bad, bad form, Craig.

"Republicans are the worst practitioners"
I, um, beg to differ ; and that's just the media sycophants...not even to mention the 100's, nay 1,000's who converged upon Alaska to do their 'opposition research.'

Nice try Craig -- but barking up a very unsympathetic WRONG tree.

Crucis said...

"Republicans are the worst practitioners"

That because the dems do so much of it. They're well practiced had are experts in dirty politics. If the 'pubs were as good as you claim, there'd be a 'pub majorities now in both Houses of Congress and McCain would be in the White House.

She was tricked into hiring an illegal, Okay. When she was asked about it by SSA, she lied, "We never saw the letter". Her husband's handwriting is on the form. If anyone "out-snaked her, it was her husband. Funny, she canned Nikki when she decided to run.

And it looks really, really ugly on Mr. Brown & Ms. Allred (esp. since she broke rules of prof. 'ethics' against her own client in the process). Bad, bad form, Craig.

First, there's no evidence Jerry is involved. Second, the Cal. Bar will decide if she broke the rules, not Mark and Greta. Third, the allegations are true. Meg screwed up big time.

What are some examples of Dem. dirty politics? I'm sure they exist.

John McCain was on the receiving end of Rove's brand of dirty politics in the 2000 primary. There was a push poll in S. Carolina that asked, "Would you be more likely or less likely to vote for John McCain if you knew that he fathered an illegitimate black child?" They also implied McCain was unstable, gay and Cindy was a drug addict. Here's what McCain had to say back then,

"There were some pretty vile and hurtful things said during the South Carolina primary. It's a really nasty side of politics. We tried to ignore it and I think we shielded [our daughter] from it. It's just unfortunate that that sort of thing still exists. As you know she's Bengali, and very dark skinned. A lot of phone calls were made by people who said we should be very ashamed about her, about the color of her skin. Thousands and thousands of calls from people to voters saying, 'You know, the McCains have a black baby.' I believe that there is a special place in hell for people like those."

I felt bad for McCain until he hired the people who did that to him, to do it to Obama.

Maybe it didn't work because;
a. The Repubs. couldn't get their smears straight. Obama is a Black Lib. Cristian, secret Muslim, Fascist, Nazi, commie, socialist, on and on. The cognitive dissonance is astounding.

b. The Republicans brought us to the brink of total economic collapse.

Unknown said...

The Republicans did NOT lead us into any economic disaster, but go on head and think that.

That happened during Clinton's capital gains tax.

Keep dreaming troll.

Craig said...

That happened during Clinton's capital gains tax.

Really? This is a new one. He cut the capital gains tax from 28% to 20%. I thought this was a conservative idea. Bush cut it further, to 15%. While Clinton's cut lead to an increase in house flipping, it didn't lead to a huge investment in domestic production, unless you count the wild investment in internet stocks and we saw how well that worked out.

Bush's cut lead to a short spike in investment but the bulk of the expansion was to cheap labor countries, not the U.S. People, almost entirely the wealthy whose compensation is taken in stock options, stuck their windfall in tax shelters, foreign banks, or offshore investments. Where are all the jobs Bush said would result from his tax cuts?

The collapse had it's origins in deregulation that actually started under Carter and was accelerated under Reagan, Clinton, and Bush I and II. It was Republican/ Conservative economic policy and it's demonstrable.

a troll is someone who posts inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room, or blog

I've tried to stay on topic. If the truth is inflammatory here, then I'm a troll, I guess.

Susannah said...

"Third, the allegations are true."

Not so fast, Poncho! Just because you want allegations to be true, doesn't make it so. You have no more evidence than Ms. Allred - whose 'evidence' we already know, would get blasted out the door in a court room.

As for the 'lying,' well, that's a matter of opinion isn't it? I happen to believe her - she doesn't have any memory of a letter like this one. And we've already conceded that a Judge would agree: her husband's chicken scratch does not a 'Meg Whitman criminal' make.

So there: nyah, nyah...

Hi Susannah,

I've read a few of your thoughts elsewhere and thought I'd check out your site.

Hope it's okay.

I love the first point made by the first commenter here. It's amazing how complicated this sort of thing can become when certain people start yelling about peripheral issues.

You really do get around, don't you?

My guess is that you've been identified as a troll because your persistently obnoxious commentary and domination of blog discussion threads is unwelcome.

But it's just a guess.

My guess is that "discussion" means, "don't challenge us".

I wouldn't say that about Susannah. She's a good sport and gives as good as she gets despite being completely wrong about everything (smiley face, here).

Thanks, Susannah and if I'm too obnoxious, say so and I'll go away.

LOL!

Craig, if Susannah's fine with you being here, it's none of my business.

I was just offering a thought on why someone might consider you to be a troll.

BPB~ Thought I'd left you out, didn't-cha? I would NEVER do that, dear friend. :) So glad you came by!

Heather~ I'm so glad you found us! Please come back! (I've seen you around, too...where??)

As for trolling: notice I didn't respond to the whole-Clinton vs. Bush tax-cut shpeil...(That was years ago; it doesn't have anything to do w/ what we're talking about, I really don't care right now!)

Leticia! SO glad you're here! Yes, LL's cooooool, & has a great blog. ;)

Craig! "...notice I didn't respond to the whole-Clinton vs. Bush tax-cut shpeil...(That was years ago; it doesn't have anything to do w/ what we're talking about, I really don't care right now!)"

"Thanks, Susannah and if I'm too obnoxious, say so and I'll go away."
Oh, I'll say so (eh, Jim? I know you're out there...) But that won't mean you need to go away. HOWEVER, if I don't respond to a bee you have in your bonnet, it does NOT mean that I can't. Maybe I'm too tired, maybe I've got dinner to make, clothes to wash, homework to help with; or maybe I just don't care! ;)

C'est la vie!

Heather~ Honesty is good! ;) Do come back, ok? ;)

Thank you for the welcome, Susannah.
We've crossed paths at Dan's Bumbling Genius site. And I also make a nuisance of myself at Z's place.

I like honestly, too. So will confess that I'm also one of those obnoxious, blog-thread-dominating commenters who can make herself unwelcome.

But I'll behave, here :)
