Saint Patrick's Day Limerick~

Happy Saint Patty's Day!

There once was a guy named Barack,

Who liked to hear himself talk...

He bought all the banks

And asked for our thanks,

While putting our children in hock.

~~

And a fine day to ya, now!

The banks were "bought" by George W. Bush.

Under President Obama, The banks have paid back 99% of their loans and the US Treasury has made a $20 Billion profit so far. (Bloomberg)

Anyway, happy St. Patrick's Day!

I don't comment much but I do keep up with your blog, Susannah. You know I agree with you whole heartedly when it comes to politics. But one of my favorite things about your blog is reading Jim's comments. In fact I find myself reading your post and automatically wonder, what is Jim going to say about that because I KNOW he can't leave anything alone. Today was one of those posts. You didn't disappoint, Jim. I just wish you could take those rose colored glasses off that you see Barak through and recognize the truth. Hope it was a great St. Patrick's day for all.

LOL. A political limerick.

Right now, my composition students are working on writing their own limericks. A few of my students are real political animals, so I'm hoping that a few political limericks will be submitted -- conservative in tone, of course.

I say we figure out a way to charge people to read "our" posts and you and I can split the money. :-)
