Classy guy, this president...

My Daddy has always said, "You can't hide class; especially when it's low."

...and how classy & worthy of his office our Dear Leader is...not.

This man's brash, rude behavior is beneath the dignity of our Presidency. It reveals how incompetent and immature he is, & that his 'class' is of the low variety.

A POTUS represents our NATION, and ought to have some modicum of dignity & respect out of deference to the people they serve. This man is crass and crude - on purpose, in internationally televised interviews.

There is NO excuse for his behavior; there is NO defense for it (even if you're the most ardent supporter). Barack Hussein Obama diminishes the dignity of our nation. He needs to pack up his Chicago thuggery trash mouth & go back from whence he came.

Mordor?

:)

I can't watch vids on my work computer but I'm interested to see what this is all about...

Hi Fuzz~ Trashy gangster thug w/ flash. btw, my rose bush is perking up w/ the java I used & her transplanting! My mystery-squash (HUGE foliage, think it's zucchini): the 1st flower fell off w/ no fruit; more flrs to come, but is it a pollenation thing?

Mat! Welcome back; glad to see you! Only he knows for sure 'from whence he came,' but my reference was to Chicago, not middle earth.

Matt~ Here's the general jist of it.

Enjoy...

Can you imagine PM Cameron or PM Blair doing such a gauche thing? or, heaven forbid, the Queen? who represents to people to other nations, etc...

Grandma J said...

No surprise to me. When people talk trashy it's because they have a limited vocabulary

ExPatMatt said...

What, saying he was going to kick someone's ass for the catastrophe in the Gulf of Mexico? He's just trying to sound like a tough-guy, like this;

"We're kicking ass." — George Bush on the security situation in Iraq, to Australian Deputy Prime Minister Mark Vaile, Sydney, Australia, Sept. 5, 2007

The problem is, if he doesn't talk tough then people are going to say that he's too soft on the eejits who should have been on top of this. Actually, the problem is that he even cares that much about what people think about how he comes across - just do your job, eh?

Odd.

ExPatMatt said...

Oh, and PM Cameron would most certainly say 'bottom' not 'ass'. Or maybe 'arse' at an absolute stretch. ;)

GrandmaJ~ Absolutely.

Don't have time to check your reference, so I trust you. Even so, the context is ENTIRELY different. You know - speaking about a war zone & all that, w/ the leader of one of our closest military allies. Quite a bit different.

"Actually, the problem is that he even cares that much about what people think about how he comes across
He had darn well better care; he's representing me.

"just do your job, eh?"
Now there's a thought...

Mordor...LOL!!!

Nah, he ain't tough enough to be from Mordor. He's most likely from wherever Strawberry Shortcake came from.

Quite a bit different.

Only one difference: One was George W. Bush and the other was Barack Obama. Any other explanation is pure BS.

DUTA said...

It doesn't really matter how he speaks. Obama represents that part of humanity (african roots) that constantly has to be fed, subsidized, pampered, cared for pushed by the western world. By electing him as ruler of USA and the world - the american voters have, no doubt, crossed the lines of sanity.

ExPatMatt said...

DUTA,

A couple of things.

ALL of humanity has African roots.

You did not vote Obama to be the ruler of the world.

You also seem to be saying that it doesn't matter how he speaks, because he's African and they suck. Is that what you're saying? It doesn't sound like a particularly civil thing to say is all.

Cheers,

Fredd said...

We Illinoians don't want him back here. Unless it's as an inmate at the new Thompson prison.

BetteJo said...

I agree with Fredd, please don't send him back here when we vote him out of the white house!

I'm sure the word was well thought out and well placed and meant to demonstrate his anger over the oil spill and BP in general. But you just can't orchestrate outrage. My gut says - he more mad about out it's affecting him and his legacy than anything else.

BetteJo said...

Guess I should have read that before publishing!

Susannah said...

commoncents~ Thanks! I visited your blog -rather hard to get to...but I did it! (Maybe make it easier to get on??) Link away!

BP!! Strawberry Shortcake & the Smurfs!! ;)

Jim~ You're entitled to your opinion. I disagree. Still referring back to Bush?? *snore*

DUTA~ I respectfully beg to differ. Maybe from your across-the-ocean-and-lovely-sea point of view 'it doesn't matter how he speaks,' but to me it matters very much! He's undignified & crass, & feigned outrage is as transparent as Saran wrap.

As for what he represents, imo, he has - with precise calculation - remained as 'blank slate' as he possibly can, so people could project their stuff onto him. Then he could be "everything to everyone" without doing anything. Worked splendidly in his campaign...trouble for him (& us) is he still thinks he's campaigning. Leadership means doing something - but, alas, one can no longer be that pristine blank slate...

Matt~ "ALL of humanity has African roots."
Well, sort of... It's more ironic to note that ALL of humanity has mesopotamian roots , i.e., Middle-eastern/persian/Iraqi. DUTA would know, living in the "cradle" as she does.

As for her opinion of Africa, I'll let her elaborate on that assertion if she likes.

Fredd~ Illinois?? What about Hawaii? What about Kenya?

(1, 2, 3, 4...)

BetteJo~ Of course it was calculated! It's just he's such a bad actor...And - he has no interest in leading this country (except for over a cliff); he just want's to be "historic" all the time.

Your new pic is FABULOUS!!! ;)

ExPatMatt said...

Susannah,

I'm not sure what you think that graphic shows, to be honest.

Genetics has shown that modern Homo Sapiens came out of Africa (possibly more than once). They clearly then settled in fertile areas, but the 'roots' are still African.

I hope she does expand on her comment; I'm very interested to hear her views.

Cheers,

Ronald Reagan's memorable use of the word keister:

"Frankly, I've had it up to my keister with newspaper columns about an expression fairly common to those of us reared in the Midwest. I have drafted a reply." He concluded: "It is interesting how familiarity with slang phrases often varies among different parts of our country. In this case, excuse the bad pun, but I suppose it may depend on where one was reared."

"We're kicking ass." — George Bush on the security situation in Iraq, to Australian Deputy Prime Minister Mark Vaile, Sydney, Australia, Sept. 5, 2007

President Bush referred to a reporter as a "major-league a-hole"; Vice President Cheney went to the floor of the Senate to tell a genteel member with whom he disagreed, "Go f--k yourself," and there were reports of profanity used by the president in speaking with foreign leaders at global economic meetings."

If you truly believe President Obama is trashy for saying he's going to kick some ass, then what do you think of the trashy low-lifes Reagan, Cheney, and Bush?

Susannah said...

Matt~ The graphic isn't trying to prove anything, just validating your assertion, & also giving a visual of the 'cradle of civilization.' You're right about the 'humanity' coming out of Africa, but my point is that the city of Ur (to my understanding) was located betwn, the Tigris & Euphrates. I have no argument...it's just a topic that has always fascinated me.

SK~ Oh boy...missing the point, dear...

Have I never used profanity? on the soccer field, when I'm angry? in a heated argument? Of course...I'm human. And so are all of the men you name - including your Chosen One. I'm certainly willing to give latitude for that...consider there's no post re: Mr. Biden's potty mouth on this blog.

There is a time & a place for such, however, & certain allowances for off-the-record, seat of the pants statements (a la Mr.s Bush, Biden & Cheney, etc.).
A face/face, sit-down, scripted, Prime Time interview designed to feign outrage & tough-guy-ism is NOT one of them.

This guy may be a fabulous campaigner. He may be a thrilling orater, but he is a disaster as a leader handling crises.

"This guy may be a fabulous campaigner. He may be a thrilling orater, but he is a disaster as a leader handling crises."

This, of course, is an opinion that millions of people do not share.

But by all means, you certainly are entitled to it.

Susannah said...

SK~ "But by all means, you certainly are entitled to it."

You have identified a piece of ground upon which we can both finally stand in firm agreement.

Good for us!

Jim said...

Still referring back to Bush?

Nope. "Referring back" to your hate-based opinion.

A face/face, sit-down, scripted, Prime Time interview.

Scripted. That's not the way it works except maybe on Fox. It was Matt Lauer who brought up kicking anything. HE asked the question only he used the term "butt". The President answered the question Lauer posed about kicking somebody's butt about the oil spill and Obama said, among other things, that he was in the process of determining who's butt to kick. He just used a different word.

So effing what?

Susannah said...

Jim~ "...your hate based opinion."

You don't know me well enough to make that judgment; and if you did, you would know better. Disgust-based opinion, yes. Hate? No. Any other interpretation is (to quote you, dear) "pure BS.

Your dissection of the interview (i.e., blaming Matt Lauer for BHO's BS; poor, poor Barack) just proves that Lauer is a cad as well, nothing more.

Good effing try, though.

Jim said...

blaming Matt Lauer for BHO's BS

I've done no such thing. I'm pointing out the context of the President's words, and that they didn't just come out of nowhere.

Duta said:

Folks, this is OK with you all? This isn't racist? Just askin'.

Fine. My opinion of his remarks stands.

"this is OK with you all? This isn't racist? Just askin'."

And Matt asked the same thing, and I invited the original commenter to elaborate, which she has thusfar chosen not to do. Nobody said it was "okay" (unless I've missed something). It is not an opinion that I endorse, which is why I subsequently gave my 'take' on what BHO 'represents.'
