Father, you have given us a great nation, a great land and a great responsibility.
As we prepare for Tuesday's elections, we ask for your guidance, your strength and your wisdom to select the people who will move this country in the direction intended by its founders, as revealed in their very writings.
Help us to seek Your will and Your way, to conduct ourselves with grace and aplomb so as to bear a great witness for you, even as we decide the direction our great land takes.
Whatever happens Tuesday, help us remember that You are in control, even when our finite minds cannot see You at work.
May we be submitted to You, grateful to You and committed to You without reservation.
It is Jesus' precious and wonderful Name that I pray.

Amen and AMEN! I posted a similar thought yesterday concerning the need to pray.
There are SO many things going on here that we cannot see or understand. I have to keep reminding myself that even if "the worst" occurs, it is still all in the Lord's hands and I need to accept it and continue to trust in His care.
Barack Obama might be President. But Jesus Christ is the King of kings and Lord of lords! No matter what happens today, those who are with Him win in the end.

Well, the power of prayer must work. You should have prayed harder for Sharon Angle. I was hoping not to have to listen to Reid again. Frank still made it (kill the wabbit), and "call me Ma'am" is still in.

There is nothing we can't accomplish when we remember to include Him.
Just want you all to know that I talked w/ my mother in law the other day (she gets all my blog posts via email). She mentioned this post -- Joe's prayer -- & said how very grateful she was for it. She said that she printed it, prayed it, & carried it around w/ her all day on Tues., "Exactly the attitude we should have, in times like these."
I've already told Joe, but wanted you all to hear it as well.
