Ok, SorP, make your case...?

I'm for Herman Cain as the republican finalist.

Let's have Obama of the Democratic Party versus Obama (Cain) of the Republican Party in the Grand Finale.
(Something like Kramer versus Kramer in a light form). Could be interesting and entertaining.

Duta! Yes, actually, I'm for Herman Cain too. I appreciate his candor & his conservatism. Because the Democrats will NOT allow the Republicans to have a candidate that can neutralize their claim of "you won't vote for a black man" racism, they're destroying Mr. Cain through the media. And the media is wallowing in their perceived success. It's disgusting -- makes me want to wash my hands after typing it just now.

Unfortunately, their tactic is working. With the 2 plausible candidates left, I'm for Newt far and above Mitt.

In the end, though, I'll vote for that proverbial "yellow dog" before I'd vote for ANY democrat - least of all Obama.

Newt over Mitt any day

Sure Cain is a conservative but that doesn't make him a good leader. They all are conservative except for Ron Paul who by the way will end up getting Obama re-elected because he will run for president as an Independent and take 8% of the GOP vote from the General Election. Anyway, Newt is the only one with enough experience and enough time on the outside to handle things. He is witty and can handle himself in any debate. He has had personal problems but we all have. I haven't heard anything that would stop him from being a leader. And as of this moment Cain has just dropped out of the race anyway.

I think Newt is peaking too soon. He'll screw up something in the next few weeks, and 'Steady Eddy Mitt' will, like the tortoise, waddle across the finish line in Iowa, mop the floor with the field in New Hampshire, and then South Carolina will follow suit and give the nod to Mitt.

Love him or hate him, Mitt's the guy. Sorry, Susannah. And after his first year in office, he'll look like George Washington, Abe Lincoln or Ronald Reagan compared to the Dolt In Chief we have now. Just you wait and see....

Susannah: Newt definitely knows what he's doing and a debate between him and Obama would be totally amazing! However, I'm so on the fence right now, teetering...I want to watch a couple more debates.

Hope your Thanksgiving was great. :-)

The biggest threat to Newt is that Dick Morris will predict that Newt will win the nomination.

Fuzz! Welcome back! I know...I know...

Goz~ Welcome. A crying shame what they did to Herman...And yes, Ron Paul is an interesting character, keeps things lively (& that's good), but needs to step out when the rubber meets the road. I'm wondering if secretly that's what Herman Cain's purpose was...

Fredd! Glad to see ya! (other than that, I'm gonna pretend you didn't leave a comment...) ;)

It just seems to me that Mitt is so 'John McCain' --- ugh~

Pam! Thank you - we did have a lovely Thanksgiving, & I hope you did too!

Well, hello Jim, dear! I see you're on the Left's smack-anything-against-Morris band wagon. Have a nice ride...

You DO know that Morris said that Cain would weather this issue and remain strong in the race, don't you?

It's not that I don't like Dick Morris. I don't. But he has one of the most laughable track records for political predictions.

Somewhere there must be a clip combining all the dozens of ways he predicted that the Clintons would out-maneuver Obama and Hilary would be the Democratic nominee in 2008. To face Giuliani.

His predictions are delivered with a great deal of inevitability and inevitably they are wrong.

Hence my assertion that Newt's biggest worry should be that Morris predicts he wins.

Newt will lose........sorry, but we can't risk losing the country again. I think Fredd's right.

Republicans have to think outside of the box and come up with some big Surprise.

With all due respect, Mitt, Newt are sort of recycled stuff - not good enough to get rid of Obama, but who knows...

Susannah, I've just noticed a little quote from one of my posts on your sidebar. I feel honored. Thank you.

Susannah said...

Jim, not sure about YOUR prediction, but as Ann Coulter says, "Dick Morris likes to whisper sweet nothings into Republicans' ears."

Z~ We canNOT afford to lose to this dolt again...Hope we've learned some lessons (at so great a cost), & whoever runs is stronger than the last dude...

Duta~ I'm not sure what 'surprise' can happen, but you're partly right - they both do have a recycled air about them. However, Newt imo has a keen understanding of who we're SUPPOSED to be as a nation. I'm not sure Mitt does - I KNOW BHO doesn't.

Oh, & thank YOU for the quote. I probably should have told you I snagged that...I just like your style! :)
