Enough of the mob? Not yet.

Did you know that you’re now being sarcastically & dismissively referred to as the Right-wing extremist Republican base? Did you know that your voices – legitimately expressing earnest concerns – are being accused of mob activity? That’s right. You’re now THE MOB…watch:

You. Me. Tax Paying, law-abiding citizens who are DEEPLY & INCREDIBLY CONCERNED about the Democratically controlled Congress’ attempt to force us into socialized medicine.

The White House (BHO) & Congressional Democrats say that scenes of vigorous dissent among voters @ town hall meetings & health care forums are an orchestrated, “manufactured” effort by Republicans & special interest groups.

Sorry, but my children & I passed one of those forums 2 days ago, on our way to buy football cleats. We stopped, signed petitions, grabbed a few for friends, took part in a few head-to-heads, then went home. I ASSURE you, these episodes are not orchestrated.

WH Press Secretary Robert Gibbs said today, with a chortle in his throat & perma-grin on his lips, There are groups that are, uh, have spread out people across the country to go to these things & to specifically generate videos that can be posted on internet sites…”

Jay Rockefeller (D) WV, said of the dissent “It disrupts the message. The story becomes the disruption, not the message.”

What a GENIUS!! He has gotten ‘the message’, but notice how he’s tell us to shut up, sit down & be obedient; that WE’VE gotten it all wrong.

Guess what, J. Rockefeller…THE STORY IS THE DISRUPTION!!! YOU ARE THE ONE WHO ISN’T GETTING THE MESSAGE!!!

We. Do. NOT. Want. This.

We. Do. NOT. Want. This.

Get it? I don’t know what it’s gonna take, folks, but PLEASE KEEP IT UP!!

BE the MOB you wish to see!!!

I went to a meeting featuring our (un)honorable Bill Nelson who was asked twice as many questions that pointed out problems with the health care plan as those that supported it.

He looked totally shell shocked.

BTW: Not one of us was paid, knew each other, or were even asked to attend. We went because we are his constituents and we care.

That DNC ad is what is shameful and thuggish. Call THEM at 202-863-8000 and tell them "Shame on you" for demonizing citizens who dare to participate in their own government. Make sure your Democratic friends call as well - every Dem I know (and most of them voted for O) is p*ssed as h*ll about this too!

Susannah said...

Joe~ Good for you! Interesting that your Congressman looked 'shell shocked'. They really do believe their own press inside the Beltway, don't they?

Sandy~ Agreed. Is that the # for the DNC? I'm calling. Shame on them...As for the Dem friends, I can only think of a few & we don't talk politics - it's just better that way...

And now the WH has an email address where you can basically report people who are disseminating what they are calling disinformation. On Twitter people are reporting each other all over the place - not as spreading incorrect information - but as American citizens who are daring to dissent!

Yeah? You have to come to my site and see the facts and figures in my comments on this exact subject.

Sandy said...

Yes - it's the number for DNC. Maybe we should report to the White House as well on all the false information on health care "reform" that WE see out there. Keep them busy.

Z said...

It's unbelievable, isn't it.
Saul Alinsky rules are in play...Imagine Gibbs now suggesting it's for internet sites since internet sites are running it? They're trying to be one step ahead...damning us for being Americans and only QUESTIONING!

Angry mobs of lefties need chain link barriers....WE DO NOT.

We first heard from the birthers, with their fake “birth certificate” in hand and with their fake outrage. These are the same under tones that you saw from Republicans during the confirmation hearings for Sonia Sotomayor, "you are not like us" or "you are too different", “you are not main stream”. And then they act surprised when people do not vote with them, they are lost, no core beliefs, too bad.

In my opinion the Republican Party has been taken over the most extreme religious right (people who love to push their beliefs on others while at the same time trying to take away their rights) and that’s who they need to focus on if they real want to win. Good Luck, because as they said in WACO, “We Ain’t Coming Out”.

It’s funny we hear Republicans say that they do not want “faceless bureaucrats” making medical decisions but they have no problem with “private sector” “faceless bureaucrats” daily declining medical coverage and financially ruining good hard working people. And who says that the “private sector” is always right, do we forget failures like Long-Term Capital, WorldCom, Global Crossing, Enron, Tyco, AIG and Lehman Brothers. Of course the federal government will destroy heathcare by getting involved, Oh but wait our military men and women and the Senate and Congress get the best heathcare in the world, and oh, that’s right, its run by our federal government. I can understand why some may think that the federal government will fail, if you look at the past eight years as a current history, with failures like the financial meltdown, Katrina, and the Walter Reed Scandal but the facts is they can and if we support them they will succeed.

Nancy Pelosi is a pathetic excuse for a human being much less the Speaker of the House. 6 million people died at the hands of the Nazi's and she invokes swastikas. This is a new low for the lowest of the low.I am ashamed that this person is the Speaker of the House. I can only hope that all of her comments, but especially this one, come back to haunt her forever.

BetteJo~ It's scary. I watched CNN's Rachel Maddow on youtube(I know, why'd I waste my time?)...anyway, after the singularly most slanted 'reporting' I've ever seen (& I don't count Bill Maher), Ms. Maddow closes her spiel w/, "This is professional, corporate funded Repub. staffed PR, & should be reported as such."

REPORTED?? WHAT? Reported to whom? Reported for what purpose, to what end? 'Reported' as is news-story report or 'reported' as in tattle-tale? She doesn't say; leaves it questionable. I believe that's quite intentional. She & her ilk are bad, bad, bad for our country.

Bluepit~ Yep! You've got quite a discussion going over there now!

Sandy~ Thank you, dear.

Z~ Exactly. How DARE we even raise our voices in the face of the obamessiah's disciples!?

Paul~ Welcome! Thanks for stopping by & commenting. See, this is how brainwashers start - by telling people that what they think/feel is NOT REALLY what they think/feel.
1) I believe that the President absolutely should be required to produce engraved-in-stone proof of his citizenship (prior to taking office, but alas, our media's gross lack of curiousity blew that..). BHO could silence this 'conspiracy' easily, yet he doesn't. Wonder why??

2) Sonya Sotomayor - too liberal, too leftist, affirmative actionist, prejudicial, judicially activist - thus the opposition. Oh well, her vote doesn't change the Court's composition. Just wait until the next one...Paul, dear, we're just gettin' warmed up! You ain't seen nothin' yet...

3)"people who love to push their beliefs on others while at the same time trying to take away their rights" Oh, you're talking about the conservatives?? Really?

Hee, hee! I thought you meant those in Washington/Hollywood who're trying to push gay marriage, tax-payer funded abortion, left-wing socialist 'values' on the masses - who DON'T want any of it, by-and-large. This is not the 'change' people thought they were voting for...

4)"Good Luck, because as they said in WACO, 'We Ain’t Coming Out'."

Yeah, yeah right...Okay, so if there's one thing we could all learn from the Waco-wackos, it's "We're here to stay & we ain't backin' down!"

5)I didn't even BEGIN to say I don't have a problem w/ the healthcare system as it is. Our family has faced & faces our own challenges with the 'system'. It has problems. But single payer government health care (w/ funding for abortion, transgender surgeries, weeding out elderly, etc., etc.) is NOT the answer. Btw, some would argue that the g'ment health care which our military receives is sorely lacking. They DESERVE the best health care. (Congress does NOT - their terms should be limited & they should NOT go home w/ a Platinum health plan).) But I'm not sure you're correct in making this sweeping statement about military care. Sorry.

6) "I can understand why some may think that the federal government will fail..but the fact is they can and if we support them they will succeed."

And the problem is we DO NOT WANT what they're selling, & will not 'support' it.

THIS is what we're talking about when we/I say that I want Obama to fail. This. Not him as a father, a husband, a human being. THIS!

Ciao~ Bingo. She is a snake slithering in the grass, looking for victims to strike...Thanks for coming by.

Suz, I think the very reason "we're back" is because there is a lot of buyer's remorse over the elections, and people are finding out in huge numbers (aka 'mob') that we elected people who are taking this country in precisely the opposite direction we need to go. As Americans, we must blame ourselves, because of our not-very-well-thought-out drive to "make history". I must add that the meida's willingness to capitalize on our short-sightedness hasn't helped. "Hope" belongs to the faithful. "Change" has always been constant. There is no history to be made from either.

it 's incredible to me how controlling this liberal presidency is....what do you mean "he warns" liberal groups??....the glorious left wing who is supposed to champion freedom of speech is now squashing on rights of their own party...WOW does this administration have control issues or what???...so everyone who does not agree w/the "obamasiah" is damned to hell???....reality check, not everyone voted for him and most certainly not everyone agrees w/him...this is still AMERICA isn't it??....

I agree this DNC ad is shameful and thuggish, as well as the white house asking us to snitch on each other for "fishy" information, etc.

These are scare tactics Obama & his cronies are using designed to chill and stifle citizen engagement and public debate about the health care issue. It strikes at the heart of the First Amendment and has no place in this important debate about health care.

Americans have the constitutional right to express their opinion and concerns about health care. This is nothing more than a blatant attempt to intimidate those who have legitimate concerns about the health care plan.

We must not let the White House and the DNC intimidate us! We must continue to discuss and pass on information about the dangers of Obama's health care plan

I'm going to call the DNC & tell them "Shame on them" for this ad as well.

I AM ASKING ALL REPUBLICANS AND CONSERVATIVES NOT TO GO TO LIBERAL BLOGS ( LIKE SHAW'S) WHERE YOU WILL BE INSULTED.

WHY GO THERE AND HAVE YOUR OPINIONS MADE THE LAUGHING STOCK OF THEIR BLOG?
I HOPE ALL OF MY FELLOW CONSERVATIVES WILL DO AS I AM DOING AND BOYCOTT THEM.

MSO,

Yours is a very funny comment, especially coming from a conservative.

You personally don't like the subjects of my blog, therefore, you've decided that no one else, especially your fellow conservatives, should ever visit and comment.

Talk about infantile tantrums!

Most of the insults I get in my comments come from people like you.

So it is quite amusing to read how indignant you get when you come to my blog and insult me, and Democrats in general, and then stamp your feet and cry MAMA! when I or others who comment give back to you and, those who behave like louts, the same medicine.

You're angry?

I must be doing something right.

Susannah: I've seen a few videos about the "thugs" at Town Hall Meetings. However, the so-called media doesn't show all the Town Hall Meetings that are orderly because the Representatives ARE answering questions. Imagine THAT! Doing what we elected them to do! I don't condone yelling and screaming, but people are so frustrated, scared and angry because our so-called Reps aren't do their jobs. If they answered the questions, people wouldn't have to yell. Why can't they understand that? Oh, wait, maybe they need a few lawyers.

No Shaw Kenawe
It's you that's the Juvenile not him.

I've read your blog many times and it's like MOS said, you have a bunch of people there including YOU and Truth101 that seem to take pleasure in ridiculing anyone who does mot agree with you.

Both you, Truth101 and a few others like Authurstone and Christopher who seem to enjoy poking fun and even using obscene names at the commenter's.. so call it as it is, your blog is a one sided anti republican blog. You seemed to have glossed right over that point. ... You have some nasty people there that really needs to learn how to be nice to folks.

Shaw Kenawe said...

You're wrong Matt Rose.

I have regular conservative commenters who come to my blog and leave well thought-out comments.

They manage to present their ideas and criticisms without calling the president a Marxist/Commie or a Boob.

Those people who come to my blog ONLY to mock and denigrate the president and liberals deserve the sarcasm they earn. If they give it out, they should be able to take it.

As for my blog being "one sided," you're here at a conservative blog where I've never seen anything but anti-liberal and anti-Obama posts.

Your scolding is one-sided.

Susannah, I didn't mean to hijack this thread on this subject, but since MSO came here, talked about me behind my back and ordered people not to come to my blog, I felt I had the right to defend it.

A ll I can say is "What goes around comes around"

I for don't agree with you.
You and some of your buddies take pride in your home made Cartoons adn the silly titles you put on your blogs.
I've been there many times.. I've seen what YOU and you blogger in crime Trouth101 (who's just as bad or perhaps ever worse than you) write and say to others.
And the home made pictures are disgusting may I add. So as you say, don't play the victim.
As much as I agree with diversified opinions, I would like to see them have substance, not ridicule. And certainly not name calling as your comments do constantly.

You post those stupid Bush and Cheney and Rush pictures in your blog all the time and when your "so called conservative friends" complain about it, you give them your typical wise ass answer...
So as a good friend of YOURS once said.. "The chicken have come home to roost"

RWL~ You get the quote of the day...
" 'Hope' belongs to the faithful, 'change' is constant & there's no history to be made from either." I'm so glad you're back. Hi to Martha for me!

Conserv~ I'm not sure there are prison systems w/ 'control issues' as serious as this...

Red Voice~ Didn't you know? The populace is not supposed to debate these things! We're supposed to let Nancy & Harry write all the legislation (heck, the President did, why not us?), let it pass & shut up! Call, call, call the DNC!!

MSO~ The only one I ever had a serious problem w/ was a group blog - whose members accosted & berated me with absolutely no provocation. It was like I stepped into an alternate universe. I don't go there anymore. Life's too short for that kind of garbage (strong word, yes; when the shoe fits...)

Shaw~ So nice of your to join us! It has been a while.

Pamela~ "If they answered the questions, people wouldn't have to yell. Why can't they understand that?"

I'll venture a guess here: 1) they're completely out of touch w/ their constituents & had no idea how angry they are about this, 2) they can't answer b/c they haven't read the bill - AGAIN

Susannah said...

Matt~ I think you've run into some of the same folks I have...Thanks for stopping by.

Shaw~ You're back again! And you haven't been accosted yet, that I can tell...thanks, friends, for being so courteous to our friend Shaw.

"I have regular conservative commenters who...present their ideas...without calling the president a Marxist/Commie or a Boob."

I for one would never do that to you, dear! That's what my blog is for...(See July 25th)

"you're here at a conservative blog where I've never seen anything but anti-liberal and anti-Obama posts."

And you're welcome to come back any time you wish, friend. ;) Oh & no worries about the 'hi-jacking' a little diversion is interesting.

Matt~ "...I would like to see them have substance, not ridicule..." Yep. Substance always makes for better conversation.

Sandy'sThts~ Welcome! I'm so glad you've come by. Your words are kindly received. Thank you. Come back any time.

If you would believe what you read in the blog by those Loony Lefties you would think that socialism is great. Here's the problem with that. We live in a society where you are rewarded for the work that you put into life.
ALL MEN ARE NOT EQUAL !!

Now, before your head explodes let me tell you what I mean by that. I do believe that "All men (and women) are CREATED equal. It's what we chose to be afterwords that defines who we are. Some people want to be dope smoking lazy idiots who never work and never earn an honest living. Others work their ass off their whole lives. You can not convince me that these two people are equal.

Let me try another example. Suppose you have two students in school: One studies his or her ass off while the other does not do their homework and spends the time at school drawing pictures of pot plants. In this perfect communism that you speak of both students are equal and both should just get a "c" grade. They passed. Nothing more, nothing less.

Capitalism and democracy may not be perfect but at the very least it rewards effort and hard work. I think I'll stick with our system

Susannah: It is very American to want to help our fellow countryman. And since the previous administration did nothing (except start two wars of choice that are bankrupting our country with all the “war profiteering” contracts to Halliburton) well you and I will just have to agree to not agree. I did not believe any of the Republican rhetoric before the last election and I do not believe them now. I do not believe that your sentiments are in line with the majority, but I did real enjoy your comments, good stuff.

How does shouting down to stop the conversation of the healthcare debate at town hall meetings, endears them to anyone. Especially when the organizations that are telling them where to go and what to do and say are Republicans political operatives, not real grassroots. How does shouting someone down or chasing them out like a “lynch mob” advanced the debate, it does not. So I think the American people will see through all of this and know, like the teabagger, the birthers, these lynch mobs types AKA “screamers” are just the same, people who have to resort to these tactics because they have no leadership to articulate what they real want. It’s easy to pickup a bus load of people who hate, and that’s all I been seeing, they hate and can’t debate. Too bad.

Paul~ Welcome! Sir, you musn't have read my post very well, for I clearly state, "my children & I passed one of those forums 2 days ago, on our way to buy football cleats. We stopped, signed petitions, grabbed a few for friends, took part in a few head-to-heads, then went home. I ASSURE you, these episodes are not orchestrated."

I didn't hear ANY shouting whatsoever, & didn't see anyone chasing anybody. (Well, there was that old guy going after the cute red head, but I digress.) So, there goes the basis of your argument. Sorry.

Incidentally, I took my children (who asked to go, btw) across the Mall parking lot in my own car (not a bus) - no coaching, no payment, no talking point bulletins, nobody telling me what to do or where to go... b/c I want my children to know that THIS IS WHAT WE DO IN AMERICA!! If we don't agree, we dissent!! We discuss! We assemble!! Our Constitution affords us these rights. THEN to be told - & my children to hear it on TV - that we're an angry "rabble-rousing" MOB!!! What the HECK???

Oh, & I also went, proudly, to the Tea Party in our town - w/ 3,000 other people. People are angry, friend, & speaking out. Your need to dismiss & discredit average Americans for doing (quite civilly) what our Constitution guarantees is our right demonstrates that 1) you've been watching too much MSNBC/CNN, or 2) you're a rather small-minded person, or both. You tell me.
